Chennai, 18.10.2023: Indian Overseas Bank’s Chennai-1 Region organized a loan distribution event for Street Vendors on October 17, 2023. The event was graced by the presence of Shri. Amit Srivastava, DGM & HOD, MSME Dept., Indian Overseas Bank who attended as the chief guest. Mr. Sukumar Chittibabu, City Revenue Officer of Greater Chennai Corporation, also joined the gathering as special guest.
Mr. Devender Kumar, Chief Regional Manager of Indian Overseas Bank, Chennai-1 Region, and Mr. Varun Deepak R, Lead District Manager of IOB Chennai District, presided over the event. During the ceremony, a total of INR 128.80 lakhs worth of loans were disbursed to deserving street vendors, with 634 businesses benefiting from this initiative.
Mr. Bhanuchander, Additional Revenue Officer, and Mr. Natarajan, Assistant revenue officer of Greater Chennai Corporation extended their support during the event, further strengthening the bank’s commitment to fostering local businesses.
