Pocket FM appoints new VP-Growth

Pocket FM, a personalized audio streaming service, has announced that Shubh Bansal is appointed as VP-Growth and Rahul Nag is appointed as Head – of Communications. With these appointments, the corporate would increase its focus to push revenue, speed up growth, and elevate brand positioning.

Now, Bansal is going to be leading the business growth initiatives across listeners, and new business opportunities. Before being co-founder at Truebil, he was related to Housing.com.

Nag is going to be driving stakeholder engagement and also establishing Pocket FM as a culture-first internet organization. Having over a decade and half years of experience within the communications landscape, he has worked with organizations like Flock, Mindtree, and ShareChat. In his earlier roles, he has led the crisis communication for Mindtree during the L&T takeover conflict and contributed immensely to leading the communications for ShareChat and Moj.

Both Bansal and Nag are visiting to report back to Rohan Nayak, CEO, and co-founder, of Pocket FM.

Recently, the company has raised US$65 million in series C funding to increase its strategic priorities of building AI capabilities and strengthening its creator community. the company has previously hired senior executives to work on these priorities and continues to look for talents in the product and tech space.

Pocket FM has over 100,000 hours of audio content in its audio OTT space with over 15 million monthly active listeners. it has raised US$93.6 million to date and is backed by some marquee investors like Times Group, Lightspeed, Tanglin Venture Partners, Naver, and Goodwater Capital.
