India has seen the release of the POCO C50. The company’s C-series portfolio will include the new entry-level smartphone.

Starting on January 10, 2023, Flipkart will sell the smartphone for Rs 6,249 for the 2GB RAM + 32GB Storage model. Another model will cost Rs 6,999 and have 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage.

POCO C50 Technical Details

The C50 runs on MediaTek’s Helio A22 SoC, which has a quad-core processor with four ARM Cortex-A53 cores operating at 2.0GHz and a 6.52-inch HD+ display with a resolution of 720 x 1600. Alongside them is a PowerVR GE6300 GPU.

The phone’s operating system will be Google’s Android 12 Go Edition, a stripped-down version of Android designed for low-cost and low-end devices.

The phone has a 5000mAh battery, which the manufacturer claims can run for up to a day under normal to light use. Additionally, 10W wired fast charging is supported.

The phone has a 5-megapixel selfie camera on the front and an 8-megapixel AI dual-camera module on the back. The rear camera is capable of 30 fps 1080p video recording.

The Poco C50, according to Poco, has a premium leather-like finish that guarantees “zero smudges.” There are two colour options for the phone: Royal Blue and Country Green. The Poco C50 reportedly has a fingerprint reader mounted on the back and a “splash proof and dust resistance coating.”
