The Post Office Studios, Kulfi Collective’s global animation and motion design vertical, has collaborated with SKODA India to create a digital launch video for the brand’s newly launched SKODA KUSHAQ Monte Carlo. This is also Post Office Studio’s first digital film in the automotive space, animated entirely with computer graphics (CG). The multi-talented team at Post Office Studios created an engaging and captivating digital film to reveal and detail the features of the latest Monte Carlo edition of the SKODA KUSHAQ, a luxurious midsize SUV in India. They chose to go beyond traditional creative boundaries by creating the digital launch video entirely in 3D CGI (Computer Generated Imagery).
Using this technique, the film effectively and innovatively communicates the latest edition’s glamorous look and style. Furthermore, to emphasize the car’s features, even more, the PO team used a minimalistic design language approach and a slightly unconventional color palette for the background. “The project certainly had a lot of intricacies, the biggest one being making an exact digital replica of the car,” said Vaibhav Negi, Lead 3D Generalist – Post Office Studios. Every part of the car was supposed to have pinpoint accuracy, and every material was supposed to be as photoreal and close to the car as possible, or it could have deceived consumers. Another challenge was the variety of deliverables – the assets were to be used as films on various social media platforms in various resolutions, as prints on newspapers, magazines, hoardings, and brochures, and even as static visuals on websites and e-brochures.
“Visual storytelling plays a pivotal role in augmenting brand marketing and sales,” said Tarun Jha, Head of Marketing at SKODA Auto India. A visual narrative piques people’s interest and keeps them watching. It allows a brand to communicate more effectively. Our most recent campaign for the SKODA KUSHAQ Monte Carlo features a unique visual treatment in the form of a pastel theme. “The advertisement captures the product’s finer nuances, its glamorous features, and technical brilliance.” “Our creative partner, Post Office, has done an outstanding job on the launch film, employing 3D CGI (Computer Generated Imagery) to create unique storytelling,” Jha said.
Post Office Studios’ collective of designers, animators, and visual artists has always been passionate about transforming intangible ideas into tangible visuals that tell your brand’s story in a powerful yet relatable way. The design-driven new media tech studio combines radically creative approaches with cutting-edge technologies to deliver clutter-breaking animated content, having specialized in motion design, cel animation, VFX, and more. The SKODA KUSHAQ Monte Carlo project perfectly exemplifies Post Office Studios’ growing presence in the dynamic animation industry.
