Commenting on the launch, Mr Pradeep Gupta Chairman & MD of Axis My India, said, “Elections in a country like India are far too complex and my journey has been equally challenging in demystifying them! During years of experience in conducting exit polls, I got the opportunity to interact with voters and politicians that helped me to recognize what the ‘janta’ desires and what the ‘neta’ aspires. Basis this, the book is a humble attempt in providing readers with an understanding of how politics is a science that is driven, by a combination of understanding human behaviour and its systems. It details down the Indian election processes and how voters make decisions based on whom they believe will be the greatest fit to fulfil their needs and desires.”
Gupta and Axis My India are considered touchstone for their exit poll analyses, which has successfully predicted 59 of 63 exit polls since 2013. The book is a reflection of their rewarding efforts in understanding voter psychology using well-recognised election forecasting model which is included as a case-study in the prestigious Harvard Business School curriculum.
