At the first edition of PRCAI PRologue, which brought together leaders from the communications industry under one roof to chart the future of the PR industry, the Public Relations Consultants Association of India (PRCAI), India’s largest and most influential PR professional body, celebrated 20 years of leadership.
PRCAI PRologue will usher the PR industry into a new era of Interverse of Communications 3.0. Global developments including digitization, globalization, technology disruptions, and web 3.0 are interfering with and redefining the role of communicators in the public relations profession, which is undergoing a revolution. Through a one-day conference, PRCAI PRologue encapsulated the essence of recent trends including “Tech-Ing It to the Future Verse,” “Weaving Trends with Millenials,” and “Re-powering Ethics in Communications.” Rajeev Chaba, President & Managing Director of MG Motor India, and Sairee Chahal, Founder of SHEROES, delivered keynote addresses at PRCAI PRologue’s amazing event, which featured a diverse and outstanding array of guests and panelists from notable corporations.
PRCAI President Atul Sharma stated, “PRCAI is continually working to develop a more professional, moral, and successful PR business. Through several initiatives over the past year, we have been able to unite the industry, advance our learning and development programs, and also evangelize the profession to a wide audience. The results are nothing short of amazing. I am quite happy with the direction and vision that the new team has created. Taking it tech-forward: The first PRCAI Prologue delves further into the subject of how communications interact with technology because this decade is all about unifying Communications 3.0 with technology.
The topic of discussion will include how the evolved web is evolving into the newest reality, what it takes to survive, thrive, and establish symbiotic communication relationships, as well as new industry regulations and parameters. Weaving New Trends with Millennials: This decade is dedicated to content creators from various walks of life who are leading by example and pushing the boundaries of communication into an unheard-of period. In the second PRCAI Prologue, it is discussed how content and new age curators will continue to be the major differentiators going forward. How Gen Z and Millennial creators use new age media to generate sticky audiences, form sizable communities, and produce content for the greater good is the riddle that has to be unwrapped.
In collaboration with Kunzum Books, the PRCAI Prologue held a book lovers initiative to promote the exchange of books and knowledge to foster a reading culture in the communications sector. Since reading is essential to this line of work, PRCAI understands the need to inspire the next generation of business leaders to make reading a regular part of their lives. A fireside discussion about how to create well-read organizations was held as part of the program.
