Qlik reaffirmed its commitment to upskill students of higher educational institutes by  applauding the participants of the recently concluded Learnathon 2022 self-learning  program hosted by ICT Academy.

The ICT Academy Learnathon 2022 is in its fifth season and the Qlik Academic  Program has been part of the self-learning initiative for the second time in a row. The  skilling program is very popular among higher education students from commerce,  engineering and management institutes. This year’s online self-learning series began  in mid-August and ended in October 2022.

The academy recognizes all those Universities that have 100 of their students  completing the Learnathon. It will also issue a certificate of completion to those  students who complete at least five out of the nine challenges in Learnathon 2022.

“The Qlik Academic Program received a great response this year. Students have been  very enthusiastic about the learning pathways offered under the program and they  have actively pursued training for the Qlik Sense Business Analyst Qualification. This  will add value to their future prospects, given the fact that data analytics is one of the  most sought after careers. Our vision to empower the future workforce with market

relevant skills aligns with the Indian Government’s Skill India Mission which also offers  programs to improve employment opportunities for all,” said Pankaj Muthe,  Academic Program Manager (APAC), Qlik

This year, the ICT Learnathon saw participation from hundreds of students from 654  colleges. They all had access to free courses provided by nine industry partners,  including Qlik, on topics like business analytics, cloud computing, machine learning,  robotic process automation (RPA), CAD design and more.

“Our partnership with the Qlik Academic Program augmented the skilling initiatives of  ICT Academy. This program provides quality training on data analytics to the targeted  beneficiaries in higher educational institutions and gets them started for a career in  data analytics. We are happy to partner with Qlik and look forward to expanding our  scope of collaboration in the future,” said Hari Balachandran, CEO, ICT Academy

The ICT Academy is a not-for-profit initiative—of the Government of India in  collaboration in state governments and industries—to upskill teachers and students to  improve their job prospects in India. Data analytics, in particular, is going to be a much needed skill by 2030 due to the pace at which Artificial Intelligence (AI) has been  transforming global workspaces. The Qlik Academic Program equips students with the  right tools and resources—on data handling and business analytics—to bridge the  growing skill gap. Notably, the program provides free, full-year subscription to Qlik  Sense, training and other learning resources.
