· The first edition of the award ceremony recognized the tremendous work done by volunteering institutions, teachers and students on its ‘Cyber Shiksha for Cyber Suraksha’ program
· These awards will be felicitated in Pune, Mumbai, Nagpur, Solapur and Aurangabad through the month of February and March, 2023
· To date the initiative has touched over 29 lakh lives and in FY23 alone, the efforts have educated over 1.3 lakh lives in Pune region
15th February 2023, Pune: Quick Heal, a global cyber security solutions provider, through its CSR arm, today, organized the first edition of its ‘Cyber Shiksha for Cyber Suraksha Awards’. The award ceremony acknowledged the remarkable contribution made by volunteering universities, teachers and its students spreading awareness on cyber safety specially amongst the marginalised sections of the society. Pune edition awards were given in presence of Ms. Anupama Katkar, Chairperson, Quick Heal Foundation and the academicians from 6 participating institutions.
The awards ceremony was organized at KES’s Pratibha College of Commerce & Computer Studies in Chinchwad area of Pune. Volunteering institutions included Agriculture Development Trust’s Shardabai Pawar Mahila Mahavidyalaya, Dr D Y Patil Unitech Society’s Dr D. Y. Patil College of Arts, Commerce & Science, Kamala Education Society’s Pratibha College of Commerce & Computer Studies, MIT Arts, Commerce & Science College Alandi, MKSSS’s K. B. Joshi Institution of Information Technology, and PDEA’s Annasaheb Magar College.
Universities, teachers and students were awarded under separate categories, the winners for which were finalized as per data received from the colleges describing the action, activities and outreach efforts by showing active participation in its ‘Cyber Shiksha for Cyber Suraksha’ program. A dedicated Voting page was created on the Quick Heal Foundation website where the nominated performances were posted as video clips.
Speaking on the occasion, Ms. Anupama Katkar, Chairperson, Quick Heal Foundation and Chief of Operational Excellence, Quick Heal Technologies Limited, said, “Our purpose – ‘securing futures’ is only made possible through the collective efforts of many individuals and organizations. Today I extend a heartfelt thanks to all our partners including the DSCI, Maharashtra Cyber Cell, and the local police for their invaluable support to the ‘Cyber Shiksha for Cyber Suraksha’ initiative. And of course, at the first edition of our awards in Pune, we acknowledge the phenomenal work being done by our warriors – the students, torch bearers – the universities, and the teachers in spreading awareness on cyber safety amongst all touching over 29 lakh lives to date.”
The next four editions of the felicitation ceremony will be organized on 15th February in Mumbai, 3rd March in Nagpur, 9th March in Solapur and 14th March in Aurangabad respectively.
