National | June 20, 2023: Rallis India Limited, a leading player in the Indian Agri inputs industry showcased its state-of-the-art digital agriculture initiative called, Drishti and its application for monitoring hybrid seed production farms during the three-day meeting of the Agriculture Ministers under the Agriculture Working Group (AWG) of the G-20 countries. The event, which was held in Hyderabad from June 15th to 17th, provided an opportunity to showcase Drishti at the global stage.
Drishti is the company’s flagship digital initiative, aimed at climate-smart agriculture. In collaboration with Tata Consultancy Services Limited, Rallis co-developed Drishti, a ground-breaking decision intelligence and crop monitoring system that harnesses the power of space-borne remote sensing and artificial intelligence (AI) to generate predictive advisories on crop conditions, soil moisture, pest outbreaks and more.
During the event, Rallis’ stall engaged with visitors, including prominent figures such as Shri Narendra Singh Tomar, Honourable Union Minister of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare and President ICAR; Shri Kailash Choudhary, Honourable Minister of State, Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare; Saoud AL Habsi, Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Water Resource, Oman; Francesco Lollobrigida, Minister of Agriculture, Food Sovereignty and Forests, Italy; QU Dongyu, The FAO Director-General, and Dr. P. Chandra Shekara, Director General, National Institute of Agricultural Extension Management, to name a few.
