Celebrating Womanhood through the Colors of Empowerment
New Delhi, 28th November 2023 — Rang Mirage Art Gallery is thrilled to announce “SHE/HER,” a solo art exhibition by the exceptionally talented artist Pavani Nagpal. The event will take place from December 1st to December 5th, with the grand inauguration ceremony scheduled for 4 pm on December 1st. The exhibition will be open to the public from 12 pm to 8 pm daily.
Pavani Nagpal, a feminist at heart and an artist by passion, brings her unique perspective on women’s empowerment to life through a stunning array of paintings. Trained in Fine Arts at the prestigious LaSalle College of Arts, Singapore, and Amity University, Pavani infuses her artwork with a vibrant palette and ornamental designs that showcase her creative prowess.
“SHE/HER” is more than just an exhibition; it is a celebration of womanhood. Pavani’s paintings, a provocative blend of pop and contemporary art, delve into her ideology and beliefs surrounding feminism in the modern era. Her pieces are a testament to the strength, resilience, and beauty of women.
Highlighting the exhibition is the captivating Devi Series, a collection of paintings paying homage to goddess Durga, Ambe Maa, and her nine incarnations. Inspired by Pavani’s deep devotion to the goddess and childhood memories of festive celebrations during ‘Navratri,’ the Devi Series is a heartfelt tribute to the divine feminine. Pavani’s admiration for the title ‘Maa’ and her respect for women who bear the revered title shines through in this series
The inauguration ceremony, scheduled for 4 pm on December 1st, will witness the presence of distinguished guests: Temsunaro Tripathi- Director, National Gallery Modern Art, Taslima Nasreen- Renowned Bangladeshi Writer, Goldy Malhotra- Artist and critic, Uma Nair- Curator and Critic, Hena Chakravarti- Sr. Artist of Gandhi Smriti & Darshan Smriti (Ministry of Cultural Govt. In addition to the exhibition, Pavani Nagpal will conduct a Sip and Paint Workshop on December 3rd, providing art enthusiasts with a unique opportunity to explore their creativity under her expert guidance.
