Reliance to get the franchise in Cricket South Africa’s T20 league

Maintaining its evolving international footprint in cricket, Reliance Industries has declared that it will attain a franchise in Cricket South Africa’s approaching T20 league. Established in Cape Town, the new franchise will take forward the Mumbai Indians brand and appears close on the heels of attaining the UAE-based International League T-20 team. 

Reliance Industries has played a virulent role in developing the sports ecosystem through ownership of cricket franchises, football league in India, sports sponsorship, consultancy, and athlete talent management, and fetching in industry best practices. Also, Reliance Foundation Sports – the CSR wing of RIL has been dominating India’s Olympic Movement by giving opportunities to athletes across the country to evolve into champions in multiple sports and also prominent India’s charge in hosting global sporting events. Earlier this year Mrs Ambani led a prosperous bid to host the prestigious International Olympic Committee Session in Mumbai in 2023 after a gap of 40 years,” announced a release from the company.

Nita Ambani who is the Director of Reliance Industries, announced, “I’m much pleased to welcome our new T20 team to the Reliance family! Akash Ambani who is the Chairman of Reliance Jio, announced, “Together with our South African franchise, we presently have three T20 teams across three countries. We glance forward to leveraging our expertise and depth of understanding in the cricket ecosystem & brand Mumbai Indians to assist create the team and empower with some of the promising cricketing experiences.”

Reliance professes to have a consolidated income of Rs 7,92,756 crore ($104.6 billion), a cash profit of Rs 1,10,778 crore ($14.6 billion), and a net profit of Rs 67,845 crore ($9 billion) for the year ended March 31, 2022. Reliance’s entertainments span hydrocarbon exploration and production, petroleum refining and marketing, petrochemicals, retail and digital aids.
