The Renault Group, or Renault S.A. in French, is a global automobile manufacturer based in France that was formed in 1899. Trucks, tractors, tanks, buses/coaches, airplanes and aviation engines, and auto rail vehicles were previously produced by the company in addition to cars and vans.

Renault announced on Tuesday that it has reached an 8-lakh cumulative sales milestone in India, marking a decade of presence in the country. Despite the obstacles experienced by the industry as a result of the pandemic and supply bottlenecks, 2021 proved to be a memorable year for Renault, according to the company.

India has made a substantial contribution to Renault’s global sales, with the country ranking among the company’s top five global markets, according to a statement.

“We’re overjoyed to have surpassed the 8-lakh sales mark in India. It’s been a fantastic journey. Over the previous three years, we’ve established a solid foundation in India.” Renault has been consistently implementing strategic initiatives across all-important business dimensions to provide a seamless brand ownership experience to its customers, in addition to a solid product strategy. All of these factors have contributed to Renault’s success in India,” stated Venkatram Mamillapalle, Country CEO and Managing Director, Renault India Operations.

According to the firm, the Kiger SUV, which was introduced here in early last year, has become one of its volume drivers, while the Kwid recently did pass the 4-lakh sales mark and the Triber continues to receive great feedback.

These goods are a perfect expression of the Make in India concept, according to Renault India. They were designed in close collaboration between the French and Indian teams.

According to the corporation, these products are first created and produced in India for Indian clients before being provided to other countries across the world.

Renault India has established more than 150 facilities in the previous two years, according to the firm, which also has 530 sales and service touchpoints across the whole country, including over 250 Workshop-On-Wheels and WOWLite sites.

Renault has been pursuing an innovative and comprehensive plan for a while to expand its presence in rural areas, according to the company.
