Could you tell us more about your prior business?

When we first began, there was a large void in the market for men’s grooming products, so we built an e-commerce platform that offered Indian consumers access to worldwide luxury items. We created Beardo as a specialized brand that catered to the needs of men’s grooming, and it quickly rose to become one of the sector’s game-changing brands in India. With the support of A-list celebrities, Beardo flourished quickly and was eventually purchased by Marico. Our subsequent endeavor, Villain Lifestyle, quickly became one of the most popular men’s fragrance brands and was purchased by MENSA Group.

Currently, in addition to being the co-founder and director of RENEE Cosmetics, a company that is already generating news in the female cosmetics industry, I also work as an angel investor to assist other businesses, working side by side with them and sharing in their success stories.

What strategies will you employ to market your business on social media and increase awareness?

Because we are a digital-first brand, social media is without a doubt our main avenue for connecting with and engaging with our customers. Our social media strategy strikes a balance between distinctive communication and interesting material that informs and demonstrates the use and texture of our products. Our unique intellectual property on social media is what sets us apart from other brands.

What sets RENEE’s product lineup apart from others? What resulted from prioritizing this product category, then?

Innovation, which was intended to make high-end and expert makeup accessible to everyone, has been RENEE’s primary goal. Everybody wants to look their best wherever they go, and over the years, makeup has evolved into a tool to change how we look and increase confidence. While there were many makeup brands available, we found that very few of them were made in India or geared to the general population. We were very clear from the start that we wanted to differentiate ourselves from competing companies and get the attention of our target audience.

With its distinctive products and effective communication, RENEE has always stood out from other makeup businesses. We aspire to create goods using RENEE that are unique, simple to use, portable, and all-around economical.
