With the aid of RevaComm, this approach enables us to remotely, by synchronous or asynchronous instruction, train and upskill active duty and civilian Department Of Defense (DoD) participants. Some of the key adaptations of  LEARN software that enable it to meet with the requirements of Platform One and align with current Defense Department tools include LEARN containerization, integration with current Air Force tools such as GitLab, relocation of all security and monitoring protocols, and migration to CloudOne, the Air Force’s internal cloud framework. Once the project is completely achieved, the LEARN program on Platform One will have a high impact onboarding and preparation for Airmen and contractors. “The target was to get 11,000 Airmen and Developers into this room before the end of the year, but when COVID struck, we had to adjust the way we resolved this, and rapidly,” said Brett Kimura, President of RevaComm.

“We soon switched to a ‘virtual first’ strategy and leveraged commercial applications more than we had expected to assist with onboarding. When we’ve learned that we can use the latest Air Force source code libraries and installations to deploy LEARN to CloudOne, we’ve conveniently supported Platform One and other DoD or Air Force systems with onboard-specific applications.
