Mumbai, March 20, 2025 — The third edition of a famous Salt-Pan Duathlon organized by Mulund Riders in the central suburb of Mulund in Mumbai brought an overwhelming participation from enthusiastic and professional riders in various categories of Men’s Solo Race, Women’s Solo Race, 2-Member Team Relay Race and Leisure featuring a run-cycle-run format.
Backed by Prima Art, Pranda Group’s flagship line of masterfully crafted 24K gold creations, the 3rd edition of the winners of Salt-Pan Duathlon received 24K Gold Prima Art masterpieces from Pranda Group’s Prima Art collection.
With an overwhelming participation both from men and women riders with over 100 slots filled immediately upon registration opening in various, a notable highlight was the participation of visually impaired duathlete Penav Mota, who completed the full race with support from his partner and tandem-pilot Purushrut Khilari. The event also saw significant participation from senior citizens across various categories.
The Race began from Wamanrao Muranjan Vidyalaya in Mulund East on 16th March. The Race Director Mr Rajesh Pillai, Chief Time-keeper Dr. Sanjay Shah, and Core Committee member Mr Vinod Tejwani, Director of Prima Art, Pranda Group flagged – off the race.
In the Men’s Solo Race, Avinash Kumar claimed first place with a time of 1:24:37 hours, followed by Kunal Trivedi (1:26:02) and Sushil Tiwari (1:33:38). The Women’s Solo Race saw Vidhi finishing first at 1:52:33 hours, with Smithaa Kajaale (1:53:46) and Dr. Shalaka Bahadkar (1:54:09) taking second and third places respectively. The Team Relay Race was won by Prayag Agarwal and Vipin Pitaliya (1:38:15), followed by Sumit Singhvi and Preet Dedhia (1:39:17), and Jagpreet Pabla and Kartik Karani (1:40:02).
