July 31, 2013: In what can be termed as a clear cut marketing strategy to market Chennai Express in North as well as South India, Rohit Shetty has included a “Lungi Dance” in his upcoming movie “Chennai Express”. Hitmaker Rohit Shetty who is known for his flambouyant style and over the top film making has been tasting success after success with his films and majority of his movies entering the Rs.100 crore club. This time he is trying to repeat the magic with Superstar Shahrukh Khan.
“Chennai Express” can be termed as a movie which has got perfect packaging i.e. a fusion of North and South wherein the story is about a North Indian guy meeting a South Indian girl. With a starcast of both North Indian and South India 
actors and shot in South Indian locations like Tamil Nadu and Kerala, Rohit Shetty and the producers are really looking forward for a bumper opening in the whole of India. The latest video of Lungi Dance which features Shahrukh Khan and Deepika Padukone is one such strategy which is being used to have a good opening for the movie in south.
In what is termed as a tribute to Thalaivaa Rajnikanth, it shows both the actors dancing in front of mammoth pictures of Rajnikant and singing praises of him. Perhaps the movie makers very well know that Rajni has a huge fan base not only in Tamil Nadu but also in other South Indian states. The song which is composed and sung by Honey Singh is fast becoming a rage on Social Media platforms. The promotion of the movie is reaching high decibels and with just a week left for its release, it remains to be seen if Rohit Shetty would help Shahrukh to retain his numero uno position with Chennai Express which is presently being held by Salman Khan with his blockbusters.
