Rolls-Royce to launch ‘India Edition’ cars by end of 2013

Feb 22, 2013: Rolls-Royce which is well known for its luxury brand cars since last 108 years is all set to launch its ‘Indian Edition’ cars by the end of 2013. Rolls-Royce which has sold nearly more than 200 cars in India is a well known brand in this part of the world since last 105 years. The company is looking to target the luxury lovers and is said to offer customised versions of its Ghost and Phantom models.

Indians always had a special affection to the Rolls-Royce cars and it is said that the former Nizam of Hyderabad owned 50 versions of these luxury cars at one point of time. According to Paul Harris, Asia Pacific Regional Director, Rolls-Royce, “We will take inspiration from the cars, the history of Rolls-Royce in India, the price, the needs and aspirations of Indian customers to design the India edition”.

Rolls-Royce is looking forward to expand its base in the Indian market and has launched its third dealership in Chandigarh. The company which has sold nearly 2500 cars in 2012 is planning to open more dealerships in India in the coming months to increase its sales.
