The limited edition despatch bikes range is priced at Rs 2.16 lakh. This is the on-road price tag of the vehicle in New Delhi.

The manufacturer plans to invest Rs 500 crore this year on Research and Development, capacity expansion, new product development and establishment of two technology development centers in U.K. and Chennai.

The investment made by Royal Enfield would also happen in the phase two of its Oragadam plant located in Chennai. The company’s production capacity is pegged to increase from 30,000 units per month in the last year to 50,000 units per year by the end of this year. In the first quarter of this year ending March 2015, Royal Enfield exhibited a record sales of 92,845 units that translates to a growth of 44.5 percent in comparison to that of the first quarter of the last year.
