On Thursday, Netflix announced that the Hindi version of S. S. Rajamouli’s period action epic “RRR” has become “the most popular film from India” on its streaming platform worldwide. “RRR” was directed by Rajamouli. According to an announcement by Netflix on Twitter, “RRR is now the most popular Indian film on Netflix around the world.” According to the data provided by the streaming service, the Hindi version of RRR, which has a running time of more than three hours, has been viewed for a total of more than 45 million hours worldwide.

RRR, a film originally made in the Telugu language, was made available on Netflix in Hindi on May 20, two months after it was first shown in theatres worldwide. The South Indian language films “RRR” in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada were available on ZEE5 on the same day.

RRR is a fictional story directed by SS Rajamouli and based on the real-life experiences of two Telugu liberation warriors named Alluri Seetharama Raju and Komaram Bheem. Both Ram Charan and Jr. NTR were excellent choices for the starring roles. According to the reports, the movie grossed more than 1200 crore (or dollars) worldwide.

The film chronicles a pre-Independence fictional story that is woven around two real Indian revolutionaries in the 1920s — Alluri Sitarama Raju, who Ram Charan plays, and Komaram Bheem, who N T Rama Rao Jr. essays. The film was billed as a pan-India movie and was also dubbed in Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada.

Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn were also featured prominently in RRR as characters. The movie was originally made in Telugu, but it has since been dubbed into the Indian languages of Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam to facilitate a pan-India release and assist in the recovery of the film exhibition business in India, which was severely impacted by the covid-19 pandemic for two years.

After Allu Arjun’s Pushpa: The Rise- Part One, RRR is the second Hindi-dubbed South Indian language film to make waves in recent times. RRR was dubbed in Hindi by Dil Raju. Jackson Lanzing, the author of DC’s Batman Beyond and Marvel Comics’ Captain America and Kang, is the most recent person to extol the virtues of the film RRR. Jackson sent a gif of Ram Charan from the movie to Twitter to share with his followers.

He emailed Jackson the following question: “Hey Jackson, was RRR the most fun you’ve ever had at the movies?” The official Twitter account for RRR Movie retweeted the post and added the following caption: “Another day, another round of applause for #RRR…From the writer of DC’s Batman Beyond and MARVEL Comics‘ Captain America, Kang and more.”
