India’s largest online learning platform, Unacademy hosted its third edition of ‘Legends on Unacademy’ (LoU) featuring a live class by the cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar. The session was a grand success and received the highest viewership with about 70,000 learners in attendance.
Unacademy is one of the largest educational technology companies in India. It initially started as a YouTube channel, later developed into one of the most popular and largest online learning platforms. Unacademy currently has a network of about 18,000 educators and offers exam materials for preparing various educational and professional entrance exams. It also offers Live classes for free and also through a subscription option. Unacademy is also the biggest Live Learning platform with over 200k daily active users.
The session with Sachin featured a candid conversation between the legendary cricketer and sports presenter Gaurav Kapur. Through the session, Sachin shared the lesser-known aspects of his career and life and highlighted his humble beginning as a cricketer and his eventual journey towards success. The veteran cricketer also spoke about his early life and the various pressures he had to face as a result of his success and fame. Sachin talked about the importance of mental health and how he battled anxiety during his 24-year long career. He also discussed how to be fought against COVID-19 and offered tips on how to stay calm, positive, and mentally fit during these challenging times.
Sachin Tendulkar discussed various topics in his session, some of the key takeaways from his talk includes the importance of following one’s passion and keeping the child in you alive; how adaptability and acceptance play an important role in achieving one’s goals; making oneself comfortable in uncomfortable situations and to devise a strategy for moving forward; how practice helps to perform better and the significance of flexibility and presence of mind; the importance of taking one step at a time; and to have a vision, believe in yourself, and to stick to one’s strategy.
The strategic partnership of Unacademy with cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar features a series of live interactive classes that would be to all for free of cost. The online learning platform is also planning for deeper content-led integration with the cricket legend in the sports learning category. Unacademy offers sessions featuring Randi Zuckerberg, Jimmy Wales, Sunil Gavaskar, and Anushka Sharma to inspire learners.
