Bengaluru, March 10, 2023: Sai Silks (Kalamandir) Limited (Sai Silks or SSKL), one of the leading retailers of ethnic apparel, particularly sarees, in South India in terms of revenue and profit after tax, as per a Technopak report, launched its 54th store in India, which is also third ‘Kalamandir’ store in Bengaluru, Karnataka. 

The new SSKL store, which operates under the brand name ‘Kalamandir’, has an area of more than 10,000 sq. ft. spread across four floors and is located at Kalyan Nagar in Bengaluru. The store offers different variety of contemporary sarees, such as Tusser, Silk, Kota, Kora, Khadi, Georgette, Cotton and Matka.  

SSKL’s stores are focussed on spreading India’s vibrant culture, traditions and heritage by offering a diverse range of products which includes various types of ultra-premium and premium sarees and ethnic wear, including value fashion products. The premium ethnic silk sarees and handlooms targets, inter alia, wedding and occasional wear. The products in Kalamandir format stores retail in the range of approximately Rs. 1,000 to Rs. 1,00,000.

Renowned actor Kichcha Sudeepa graced the store inauguration ceremony with his presence. Kalamandir was established in 2005 with the first store opening in Ameerpet, Hyderabad in Telangana and was marketed as the ‘Symbol of the South’ for its product offerings, affordability and brand equity. 

The Kalamandir stores provide contemporary sarees targeting the middle-class and upper-middle class customers. Kalamandir sarees are intricately woven by a team of weavers, artisans and designers to ensure that each piece is of top quality, and that the brand’s vision is carried out seamlessly.
