It’s neither a phone nor a tablet, but somewhere in between and has created its own segment called the Phablet. Galaxy Note was the first one that was launched in this segment. Well, now the new Note 2 is being launched in India and this time it is packed with tones of features. We take a walk through and share our initial impressions on the phablet!

First things first – Jellybean is here! Android’s newest operating system will now be available as built in software for the Note 2.  Now wouldn’t that be a great feeling if you hold a newest gadget in town with a newest OS ( of course you can’t expect the iOS in a Samsung!)

Moving on to some of the hardware, similar to its predecessor, the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 houses a large screen for a gadget of this sort. It has a 5.5” display which happens to be a Super Amoled Display generating a 1280 x 720 pixel ratio. Now that means you have a large screen and a super sharp one too! It also houses a powerful 1.6 GHz quad-core processor with a 2GB RAM. This ensures faster applications with a higher degree of multi-tasking!

Somehow the Note 2 hasn’t upgraded the camera and it remains at 8 MP with the ability to shoot 1080p HD videos.  It also has a 1.9 MP front facing camera. You can store upto 16GB in the internal memory while you also get an option to use a memory card upto 64 GB.

And not to forget- the stylus or the S-Pen which is now more comfortable than its predecessor.

The Note 2 has some interesting features like that of a one hand operation which gives you a compressed keyboard for that easy operation or the S-Notes app which recognizes human handwriting! In case you’re a movie buff and are watching you movie in the Note, you can minimize the screen to a corner and reply to a message or check your mail while continuing to watch the movie. Anyways these are only some of the many features we have in this write up.

Make sure you get back when we give you a detailed review of the phablet, jellybean, the S-Pen capabilities and much  more !
