SBI announces the recruitment of 2000 Probationary Officers

State Bank of India (SBI), one of the leading public sector banks in India had declared the recruitment of 2000 Probationary Officers (PO). The notification was published on 13th November, and the online registration gets started on the next day itself. Interested candidates can fill the online application form on or before 4th December 2020.

The bank had issued certain guidelines and eligibility criteria for the SBI PO hiring process. The age limit of the candidate must be 21 years old to 30 years old as of 1st April 2020. The candidate should have completed his/her graduation from any recognized University under the Central Government. The final year graduation students can also apply for the position. If they are called for the interview, they have to submit proof of having passed the graduation on or before 1st July 2020. Candidates who are possessing Chartered Accountants certification can also apply for the same.

There are mainly three rounds for the hiring process; the prelims, mains, and the final interview level. The preliminary exam is scheduled for 31st December 2020, 2nd, 4th, and 5th of January 2021. The main exam will be conducted on 29th January 2021.

There are around a total of 2000 vacancies in the post of Probationary Officers in SBI. They are divided into different categories in which 300 & 150 vacancies are allotted to the scheduled caste and scheduled tribes, whereas 540 and 200 vacancies are allotted to OBC & EWS. There are 810 vacancies open for the candidates in the general category. The application fee will change according to the categories, for the general or OBC category, it amounts to Rs. 750, and for SC/ST there is no application fee.

As per the latest information, basic pay for a Probationary Officer is Rs. 27,620 with certain advance increments. They can also avail of the benefits of DA, CCA, HRD, etc. The candidates have to serve an agreement of two years with the bank. They are supposed to fill the application online only. All other modes of application will be rejected. Applicants should give their correct email id, and mobile number, and they are required to register themselves via SBI Website or Bank’s ‘Career’ website. After the processing of the online application, they have to pay the fee by using the facility of credit card /debit card /internet banking.
