On the occasion of its 66th foundation day on July 1st 2021, India’s largest lender, State Bank of India has announced so many initiatives and campaigns for its employees and customers.
The bank has introduced a MOGO (musical logo), started a visual campaign dedicated to its 45 crore customers and disclosed its familiar slogan ‘The banker to every Indian’, with a fresh look.
In an innovative brand strategy, the State Bank of India has taken a step towards sonic branding and unveiled its musical logo (MOGO) and MOGOSCAPE creating a joyful signature tune. SBI’s MOGO showcases the key feelings and emotions of a brand that is known as ‘The Banker to Every Indian’.
The melodic tune sounds harmonious and warm whilst underlining the expanse and scale of a future-looking SBI.
The Chairman of SBI, Dinesh Khara said, “Music can connect at a deep emotional level with people, and we aim to leverage the power of melodious music to create a unique brand identity that all our customers can connect to, across psychographics and demographics.”
“The Bank which has a long history of more than two hundred years, of which the last 66 years has been in its current form, has also disclosed a thematic brand campaign called ‘I am the “I” in SBI’.
“The State Bank of India brand with its various product offerings makes sure that there is a relevant product for satisfying the needs of different groups of customers in India and abroad. The tagline of Bank has also been reworked in a new avatar, “The banker to every Indian”, making it contemporary and new and by depicting an ethnic twist in the very word ‘Indian’ is presented, Khara added.”
State Bank of India also came up with an Anthem, ‘Hum Saath Hai’. The lyrics explain how SBI is there at all the stages of the customer’s journey and contributes to building the nation.
For more than 66 years, SBI has continued to restate banking in India, as it focuses to offer sustainable banking solutions to society. The bank has expanded its digital banking capabilities to serve the millennials and the emerging youth of India. With continuous innovation and focus along with a strong market presence, the State Bank of India continues to drive ahead with renewed vigour.
