After testing the market for a year, Scentra, the scented shoes brand has decided to get into the offline distribution in the country. The brand has also plans to enter new product categories such as garments and bags.
Regarding this, Scentra’s Founder & Managing Director, Karan Vij claimed that after testing the market for over a year, the firm has decided to foray into the retail market in a full fledged manner. By the second half of the next fiscal year, Scentra is planning to set up its brick and mortar stores across the country. The brand is planning to set up 10 Scentra House kiosk outlets by the end of this year.
Scentra House will be set up in Mumbai,Delhi, Pune andChandigarh. The scented shoes brand is looking forward at selling shoes via multi-brand distribution channels by the next fiscal year.
Scentra retails its products via its own website and online marketplaces such as Amazon, Snapdeal and Jabong as well.
The executive further stated that the brand is planning to enter into new product categories including garments and bags, but it will take time for the same. As of now, the firm is aiming to expand its shows portfolio to over 100 percent from the existing 40 percent.
The Scentra shoes are designed inCaliforniaand they are manufactured inSpain. He stated that the firm is manufacturing the products in its own facility located inSpainand importing the same toIndia. He further added that they manufacture inSpainfor the quality and technology that are available over there. It has been made clear that Scentra will continue to make scented shows only inSpain. However, it has been revealed that the firm will manufacture bags and garments inIndia.
Right now, Scentra provides shoes for men, women and kids in the price bracket between Rs 1,500 and Rs 2,700.
