27th July 2023, Pune: SEQRITE, a leading enterprise cybersecurity solutions provider, unveiled the latest version, 8.2, of their flagship product, End Point Security (EPS). Leveraging the state-of-the-art Endpoint Threat Hunting technology and a range of advanced features, including Application Control Safelist, Automated IoC search, Real-time IoC blocking, Rapid query to Endpoints, and Google & YouTube Access Control, EPS v8.2 sets a new standard in endpoint protection.
With an aim to empower organizations against evolving cyber threats, EPS v8.2 features the Application Control Safelist, a robust security tool that follows the principles of the Zero Trust Methodology. Safelist enhances overall security posture by allowing network administrators to define specific application permissions based on the Operating System, including default OS settings and SEQRITE applications. This level of customization ensures that only authorized applications can run on the system, minimizing the risk of potential security breaches. Notably, this feature enables administrators to record and review application access without immediate blocking. This valuable insight helps identify potential security risks while ensuring operational continuity.
Commenting on the launch, Dr. Sanjay Katkar, Joint Managing Director, Quick Heal Technologies Limited, said, “As attack surfaces are widening, the launch of SEQRITE EPS v8.2 marks a significant milestone for both SEQRITE and its customers. With state-of-the-art endpoint threat detection and protection mechanisms, coupled with intuitive management features, v8.2 empowers organizations to proactively defend against sophisticated cyberattacks. Our relentless pursuit of excellence and customer satisfaction has driven us to create a comprehensive solution that not only meets but exceeds the industry’s highest standards. With this launch, we reaffirm our dedication to empowering enterprises with the tools they need to thrive securely in the digital age.”
Apart from Application Control Safelist, EPS v8.2 comes loaded with several other advanced features that offer comprehensive security from cyber threats. One of them is the Google & YouTube Access Controller, which enhances web security by enabling administrators to exercise control over Google & YouTube access based on chosen account domains and Video Content Categories. While this feature can block personal access, it permits corporate access to these websites.
Moreover, Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) in v8.2 also includes Rapid Query to Endpoints for real-time information gathering, Automated IoC Search that integrates with the MISP server for Threat Feeds, and Real-time IoC (Indicator of Compromise) Blocking for continuous investigation and blocking of malicious content. Equipped with Endpoint Threat Hunting technology, it allows administrators to proactively search for files, matching malicious hashes across endpoints. This feature detects hidden attacks based on user-provided hashes, empowering administrators to hunt down threats before they cause harm. Device Control with USB Tethering, Temporary Device Access Duration Improvement, Roaming for Linux Endpoints, easy migration from EPS v7.6, and Server Deployment over Ubuntu 22 are other key enhancements in this version.
SEQRITE continues to provide innovative cybersecurity solutions that empower organizations to protect their critical assets in an ever-evolving threat landscape. With EPS v8.2, SEQRITE further strengthens its legacy of leading the way in comprehensive cyber protection.
