Serving of liquor started in hotels, clubs by Government of Delhi

Eventually after the announcement of allowing the hotels to resume their operation, within 24 hours the Arvind Kejriwal-led Delhi government has declared permission for the hotels and clubs to serve the liquor to the consumer. The state government also gave directions to the excise department for issuing the necessary permission which is to be regarded concerning this.

Though it is mentioned that for the collection of revenue the Delhi government is responsible for it. They also have allowed the hotels and bars to sell liquor at the table and in the rooms. The excise department has to take the necessary action about selling the liquor in the restaurants and clubs by licensees even at the table as well as in the hotel rooms mentioned by Manish Sisodia Delhi deputy chief minister. Whereas bars will be remain shut down till the provisions for unlocking guidelines will come from the minister of home affairs.

Most of the state governments including Assam, Punjab, Rajasthan, etc have already allowed the service of liquor to be taken place by the license holders under the rules of excise. This is also stated that is to be served at the table in the restaurants and clubs and in the hotel, rooms too as mentioned in the order. But on Wednesday the hotels start their function as per the government and with this Arvind Kejariwal also provided the information about coronavirus situation in Delhi which is much far better than others.

Due to this, the economy of Delhi is now getting better. For this reason, the government of Delhi planned for opening all the hotels which is earlier been rejected by the Central government. The state government again proposed the opening of the hotels, bars, restaurants, etc which is finally been approved by the government. Now in Delhi, all the hotels will get opened. By allowing the hotels and hospitality business to starts operation again in New Delhi said by the Hotel Association of India (HAL).

Finally, due to the starting of the business, it will enable us, employees, to work again which got affected during this pandemic. We hope that shortly we look forward to re-start the operation by taking into consideration hygiene and sanitization protocols stated by Hotel Association of India Executive Committee Member and Bharat hotels chairperson & MD Jyotsna Suri.
