July 3rd marks International Plastic Bag Free Day when the world reminds itself of the importance of reducing the usage of plastic in everyday life. Every year, this day is observed to create awareness about the threat caused by plastic pollution to the natural environment be it in land or marine life.
Shiva cycles with Ethomart (EMCT) went plastic-free educating the under-privileged children about the importance of using Paper bags/glass as Renewable, Recyclable, Reusable, and Compostable. With scorching heat outside raising the temperature of Delhi NCR, they celebrated the day by using paper cups for their fresh sugar cane juice.

Priyanka Guin, the founder of Shiva Cycles said that it is said that the best way to experience a city is on foot. But the capital city of India is happily inclining towards the second-best option – cycling promoting the cause of Eco tourism.
While Head rider, coordinator and admin Greater Noida Active Rider Ritesh Mishra said that amid the chaotic and cacophonous traffic, the sight of cycling enthusiasts peddling around in full force comes across as a silver lining.
Somnath, another prominent leading rider of Greater Noida Active Rider, said that while many are embracing the sport professionally, others are happy to push the pedal for recreational purposes.
70+ prominent from different parts of Delhi NCR (G-NAR, GNWCC, NECC, WOW, CYCLOPATHS, AAE riders) actively participated in the ride of approx. 65 kms from Greater Noida west to Rashtrapati Bhavan with a sumptuous breakfast at Gujarat Bhawan. The participants were provided with e certificates and refreshments and total support from the Shiva Cycle team.
