Devotees can light a virtual Diya by simply scanning a QR code displayed at the Mumbai-cha Raja Ganapati pandal.
Mumbai, 13 September 2024 – As the vibrant celebrations of Ganesh Utsav sweep through Mumbai, Shriram Finance is transforming the way devotees connect with Lord Ganesha through its unique “Digital Diya” initiative.
Typically, devotees are unable to light a ‘Diya’ while offering darshan at Ganesh pandals.
In a unique initiative, Shriram Finance has introduced an interactive digital platform at the iconic Mumbai-cha Raja (Mumbai’s King) Ganapati pandal in Lalbaug, Mumbai. Devotees can now light a virtual Diya by simply scanning a QR code displayed at the pandal. This seamless process allows users to enter their names, choose the colour of their virtual lamp, and watch as their personalised Diya illuminates a giant LED screen. Their names appear alongside the glowing Diya, creating a moment of divine connection amidst the festival’s grandeur.
This engagement has been ideated by Work Fulcrum and is executed by Vritti Mindwave Media.
The Ganesh Utsav, renowned for its vibrant and inclusive spirit, often sees overwhelming crowds at major pandals like Mumbai-cha Raja and Lalbagh’s Ganesh Gali, making traditional offerings a challenging endeavor. By introducing the Digital Diya, Shriram Finance has not only addressed this challenge but has also provided a novel way for people from all walks of life to partake in the celebrations.
As Mumbai’s streets and pandals shine with the festive lights and fervor of Ganesh Utsav, Shriram Finance’s Digital Diya stands as a testament to the evolving nature of devotional practices, honoring the past while embracing the future.
