Mumbai, November 24, 2022: Simplilearn, the world’s #1 online boot camp for digital economy skills training, hosted its latest convocation ceremony with the Isenberg School of Management at UMass Amherst to felicitate over 300 learners for successfully completing their post-graduation programs. Gracing the event with their presence were Professor Traci Hess, Associate Dean – Graduate and Professional Programs, Isenberg School of Management, University of Massachusetts, as the Chief Guest and Mr. Karandeep Singh, Chief Financial officer, Simplilearn, as the Guest of Honour.

It was a joint celebration by UMass and Simplilearn on the completion of the various post graduate programs in the following categories: Post Graduate Program (PGP) in Project Management, Post Graduate Program (PGP) in Lean Six Sigma and Post Graduate Program (PGP) in Design Thinking & Innovation. There was great enthusiasm and excitement among the graduating students on successfully completing their respective programs.

Congratulating the post-graduates, Mr. Karandeep Singh, Chief Financial officer, Simplilearn, said, “It is inspiring to be here today, with this batch of focused, goal-oriented students. I am happy that the learners have been able to gain the knowledge and learn the new skills they had set out to achieve. The programs have been carefully curated along with UMass to ensure that they bring value to learners and help them sharpen their skills effectively. I am confident that the expertise gained here will help in their professional journey ahead. On behalf of all of us at Simplilearn, I wish the students the very best for the future and hope each one of them attain greater heights.”

Addressing the post-graduates at the convocation, Professor Traci Hess, Associate Dean – Graduate and Professional Programs, Isenberg School of Management, University of Massachusetts, said, “I am delighted to be a part of this convocation ceremony for this group of hard-working and meritorious students from the PG programs of Simplilearn and UMass Amherst. I could not be happier to see students benefit from these expert, upskilling offerings and come out with such flying colours. Focused learning and remaining steadfast towards your goals while applying these newly acquired skills will help each one of you to attain professional success. I hope that all of you fulfill your professional goals in the years to come. Congratulations to all of the graduates and welcome to the UMass Amherst family.”

Graduating learner Mr Saugata Bhattacharya shared: “Thank you to Simplilearn and UMass for having me and giving me this opportunity to share my learning experience with you today. This is the first online course I have taken, and honestly, I was skeptical before enrolling. But just a couple of weeks into the course, I realised it was the right decision. At the time of enrolling, I was working as a Deputy Manager (Project) with more than 17 years experience in the construction industry. I was managing projects without any formal knowledge or education in project management. Rigorous training by the faculty and valuable inputs from my peers during the six-months-long Post Graduate Program (PGP) in Project Management helped me garner a broader perspective of project management.

I am happy to share with you today that just after completing the Post Graduate Program (PGP) in Project Management, which includes modules on PMP certification, I got a letter from the HR department of my company, promoting me to the next level, i.e., Project Manager, and I have now become overall in-charge of a very prestigious government project.

“I would like to mention that the course modules are absolutely perfect for industry professionals like me who have gained some knowledge through experience but require formal training for accelerating their professional growth. Thank you once again.”
