He mentioned that it is equally important to instil in students, the sense of responsibility towards nature. SIP Academy recognises that climate change and environment conservation are key issues the students will grow up to experience – and therefore SIP Academy has chosen to involve in contributing positively with efforts that combat climate change. The Miyawaki technique, developed by Japanese botanist Akira Miyawaki, helps to create dense forests with native trees in a self-sustaining manner thus helps to lower carbon emission, provide clean air, improve soil quality & water table and increase local biodiversity. This is the 3rd Miyawaki forest launched by SIP Academy, the first was in the Tiruvallur, Tamil Nadu on 11th June 2023 and the second in Jalgaon, Maharashtra on 11th July 2024. He expressed hope that those present at the event are inspired to do their bit towards preserving nature for the future generations.
