Compact SUVs that come with automatic gearbox are gaining traction slowly in India. The reason for the popularity of these vehicles is the effortless ability to drive them around the crowded cities. Here are six models of affordable and compact SUVs that have automatic gearbox option it the Indian market.
Ford Ecosport 1.5 Ti-VCT: This vehicle comes with a 1.5 litre Ti-VCT petrol engine and it is teamed up with six speed Powershift DCT. It is the most affordable petrol automatic SUV that starts from Rs 9.61 lakh. It is available in the Titanium grade and it has features such as ABS, ESP, rear parking sensors, Hill Hold, six airbags, push button start, SYNC infotainment system and LED DRLs.
Hyundai Creta 1.6 CRDi SX+: The Hyundai Creta’s diesel automatic model accounts to 18 percent of the overall sales. It is priced from Rs 14.38 lakh and it is available only in the SX+ grade.
Renault Duster: This is one of the latest entrants in the diesel automatic SUV category. The facelifted model of Duster debuts the Easy-R AMT gearbox of Renault in the country. it is priced at Rs 11.66 lakh and Rs 12.86 lakh for the RxL and RxT grades respectively.
Mahindra Nuvosport: The Mahindra Nuvosport is the second one from the manufacturer to come with the AMT option. It has a five speed AMT and 1.5 litre mHawk diesel engine. Its price starts from Rs 9 lalk and it is the least expensive diesel SUV that is automatic.
Mahindra TUV300: This is Mahindra’s first SUV with an AMT gearbox. It is priced starting from Rs 9.02 lakh. It has a 1.5 litre mHawk engine that renders 230 Nm of torque and 84 PS of power.
Mahindra Scorpio: The Mahindra Scorpio’s latest model has a six speed automatic transmission and a 2.2 litre mHawk diesel engine. It is priced at Rs 13.13 lakh onwards.
