SkinQ, India’s first Made Safe Certified, Dermatologist formulated, active solutions brand for people with skin of colour, is proud to announce that two of its flagship products, the SkinQ Acne Control Mask (ACM) and Brightening Serum. It is India’s first ever skincare brand to receive the seal of approval from the Boston Dermatology Advocates (BDA).

BDA is an independent group of dermatologists dedicated to exploring and evaluating evidence-based practices in skincare and cosmetics. SkinQ is a high performance range available exclusively at skin clinics and medispas.

The endorsement comes after rigorous testing and evaluation of the products’ efficacy and suitability for individuals with medium to brown skin tones. Dermatologists affiliated with the BDA conducted a user experience study, focusing on personal feedback regarding usage and feel, over a period of 14 days.

The study focused on objective data collection and qualitative commentary, emphasizing metrics such as greasiness, burning sensation, and ease of application. The blinded approach ensured assessments were solely based on product performance, highlighting SkinQ’s commitment to inclusivity and effectiveness.

Speaking about this, Dr Chytra Anand, Dermatologist, Founder – SkinQ & Kosmoderma Clinics, said, “We are thrilled to receive the seal of approval from the Boston Dermatology Advocates for our Acne Control Mask and Brightening Serum. At SkinQ, we are deeply committed to developing skincare solutions that are not only effective but also inclusive, catering to the diverse needs of individuals with medium to brown skin tones.”

Notably, the mask has shown a reduction in sebum content by an impressive 57.1%.

The SkinQ’s Brightening Serum targets hyperpigmentation and melasma in medium to brown skin tones. Infused with Lactic Acid, Licorice Root, Kojic Dipalmitate, and Malic Acid, this serum has demonstrated significant improvements in smoothness, reduction in melanin content in hyperpigmented spots, and enhancement in overall skin brightness and luminosity by 35%.
