The gathering of content creators, fans, and industry insiders, VidCon, made a triumphant comeback after the pandemic lasted for two years. Over the past few weeks, it has been the talk of the town. Slay Point was the first and only content creator from India to speak at the prestigious event this year, representing the Indian community of content creators internationally.
Known for its humorous reviews, vlogs, and roast videos, Slay Point is a well-known Indian roast channel on YouTube. Abhyudaya Mohan and Gautami Kawale manage The Channel. One of India’s biggest humor YouTube channels is Slay Point. Since they are also included in Netflix videos.
Slay Point gave their opinions on the most recent international campaign they worked on with YouTube after being invited by YouTube Global. The panel brought together artists from all across the world to encourage the study of the environment and the value of safeguarding it.
Gautami, Slay Point, speaking about her experience, said: “Co-paneling at VidCon alongside other creators Mark Vins and Jina Kim as well as Gina Shalavi, the global head of YouTube Marketing’s Top Creator Programs, was enlightening for us. As the first and only Indian creators to be invited to speak at VidCon, it was an honor for us to represent India internationally.
“There is a strong likelihood that the Creator Economy will expand and last for a while.” In the crowd, a NASA representative inquired about YouTube and offered to work with us. We’re still in awe. Gautami shouted.
making remarks regarding their experience “Having a location created only for creators provided us the chance to feel seen, heard, and respected for the first time in our lives,” said Abhyudaya Mohan of Slay Point. There was a feeling of deference. We felt like we belonged when we finally felt like someone understood us.
“There were so many excited fans who had bought tickets to see their favorite creators across platforms all around the world,” continues Gautami. It was heartwarming to see how much merchandise they purchased and how fervently they backed their favorite artists.
The expansion of influencers, content creators, and the creative economy as a whole is staggering, the duo claimed.
