Sony to broadcast India-Australia series: Gets 15 sponsors on board

The wait of cricket fans is going to end. The audience in the stadium has been strictly avoided due to the on going COVID 19 pandemic. The wait of cricket fans is flowering by the beginning of the India and Australia tournament. Sony Picture Sports Network (SPSN) is well set to publish the cricket game between India and Australia in new normal. The matches commence on 27 November 2020 and will be aired live on Sony Six, Sony Ten 1, and Sony Ten 3 channels. For the tournament, Sony has already signed up with 15 sponsors.

Sony also signed up with the six Co-presenters of the series. The six co-presenters of the series are My11circle, Amazon.in, Byju’s, Maruti Suzuki India, and Vimal Pan Masala. Mondelez, Netflix, SBI Mutual Fund, Ather Energy, Dettol, MRF, Pernod Ricard, PharmEasy, Car24, and Birla Cement are the associate sponsors of the upcoming India and Australia tournament. The broadcasters of the series are in the process of closing more brands before the tournament begins.

“India- Australia bilateral tournament is going to be happened during the new normal due to the COVID 19 pandemic, the response from the advertisers has been huge, we have got close to 15-16 sponsors on board. IPL has conducted for the first time with no audience in the stadium, there was a little worry about whether advertisers are willing to spend the money, we thought it was a challenge, but we have seen many companies approaching foe the advertisement presentation. The companies are coming by identifying the new normal situation, we are nearly 70-75% sold out, we are expecting 30-35% growth in revenues from TV over the last series,” said Rohit Gupta, President, Sony Picture Network India (SPNI).

The Indian Premier League (IPL) has recently completed 13 seasons with a new normal situation. IPL has completed the 45-day long cricket tournament though online, without an audience in the stadium. India is going to play 3 ODI matches, 3 T20 matches, and 4 Test matches in Australia by following the COVID protocol.

According to the source, the rate for ads lasts almost 10-second for the TV telecast range between Rs.7-7.5 Lakh for T20, the range for Test is between Rs.1-2 Lakhs and Rs. 5-6 Lakhs for the ODI.
