#KripyaDhyanDein- An Audio Awakening For Human Rights
MnM Talkies, India’s leading content house specialising in audio fiction and podcasts, and Committed Communities Development Trust (CCDT), a non-profit organisation dedicated to supporting underprivileged children living in marginalised communities, have partnered to create a compelling audio initiative. This initiative aims to use the immersive nature of sound to bring attention to human rights violations, particularly those affecting children and women.
In the current global landscape and with instant access to news, the general public has become increasingly desensitised. The constant exposure to headlines, by-lines, and notifications has contributed to this phenomenon. People have grown accustomed to simply reading stories, yet it is important to recognize that stories are meant to evoke emotions and be deeply felt, not just consumed passively. MnM Talkies, known for some of the best original audio-visual productions, has taken a bold step to bring human rights stories to life with a keen focus on creating sound-driven narratives that not only resonates with the human spirit but also ignites the imagination. Founded by Actor/Director Mantra, MnM Talkies has been at the forefront of redefining storytelling through audio experiences, aiming to evoke emotions and provoke introspection.
Partnering with CCDT, an organisation dedicated to promoting equal opportunities and safeguarding the rights of marginalised children and families, MnM Talkies has amplified the voices of those whose stories often go unheard. CCDT’s commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals set by the United Nations has been instrumental in driving rights-based and needs-based initiatives, impacting the lives of over 2 million children and families in crisis across Maharashtra over the last 30 years.
The collaboration has given birth to a series of audio marvels under the tag “Kripya Dhyaan Dein” (Please Pay Attention), designed to awaken the masses and urge them to listen closely to the stories of those around them. By using fictional narratives that resonate with real-life experiences, MnM Talkies and CCDT have masterfully conveyed the urgency of human rights awareness, standing in solidarity with those affected by violations.
These poignant stories, available on social media and various audio platforms, serve as a call to action for individuals to make a difference and raise their voices in support of human rights. With the world in need of transformative efforts, this initiative stands as a beacon of hope, encouraging listeners to engage deeply with the human rights challenges that persist globally.
In the spirit of World Human Rights Day (observed on 10th December, every year), “Kripya Dhyaan Dein” is a journey to effect positive change. MnM Talkies and CCDT have set the stage for a new wave of advocacy, harnessing the emotive power of audio to champion human rights and inspire collective action. Their collaboration serves as a beacon of hope, urging us all to listen closely, raise our voices, and work towards a world where every individual’s rights are respected and upheld.
