Dec 17, 2012: South Indian Bank Grand Kerala Shopping festival was inaugurated by Union Minister of State of Civil 
Aviation, Mr. K.C. Venugopal in Kannur on Saturday. A event which is spread from December to January will have some of the biggest brands associating with the sixth season of GKSF. The minister while inaugurating the festival termed GKSF as an opportunity to showcase the state of Kerala to the world. As part of GKSF this year a Global Village has been set up in Kochi. South Indian Bank is the title sponsor of GKSF this year. The other sponsors of this event are:
