If you have a love for music. Millions just do that with Heardle, which is an app for a daily music game. And at Spotify, we love all things which are related to music and all things music trivia which is why we’re excited to declare that our favourite interactive music trivia game will be collaborating with Spotify.

We see Heardle as more than a trivia game: It’s also an instrument for musical learning. Playing Heardle might just help you to reclaim old tracks you may have thought you have forgotten to discover amazing new artists, or finally put a titbit to that wordless melody you’ve had seizing in your heart forever.

Heard is uncomplicated but always a challenging game. Players are assigned with guessing a song based on its notes. In this game, they get six guesses, with each hint present with a few more seconds of music to notify their next answer. Ultimately, they get a possibility to find an eternity of the song in its entirety, whether or not they guess at it also get correct.

We are always focusing on creative and playful ways to intensify music discovery and help artists reach new fans,” commented Jeremy Erlich, global head of music, Spotify. “Heard has shown to the world that it would be a really fun way to link between millions of fans with songs they love and know and with new songs . . . and a way to take part with their friends and families who has the best knowledge of music. Since its debut, the game has quickly erected loyal patronage, and its line up with our plans to deepen its connectivity across the globe through Spotify

For live Heardle players, the look and feel of the game will remain the same, and it’ll remain free to play for everyone. And successfully today, players can listen to the full song on Spotify at the end of the game.

Looking ahead, there are some exciting opportunities to come. Currently, we’re starting with consumers in the country like U.S., U.K., Ireland, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. And soon, hundreds of millions more people around the world will have the chance to play and enjoy the game in their vernacular language. Further down the road, we are also planning to amalgamate Heardle and other exposure experiences more fully into Spotify to allow music lovers to interact more deeply with artists and challenge friends—and have some fun in the process
