September 26, 2022

Students of The Academy School (TAS), Pune, led a metaphorical march on the school campus and appealed to save electricity under the campaign ‘Save Power, Save Nation’. On the occasion of World Environmental Health Day, Class 1 and Class 2 students led the way to do their bit for the environment.

Brainchild of Dr Maithili Tambe, CEO, TAS, the initiative was aimed to raise awareness about environmental health and how saving power and electricity will go a long way in keeping the environment in good health.

“Education is not only gaining knowledge but also being informed and updated about the goings-on in the world. Environment and its health is a problem that is more prevalent now than ever. Children should be taught in the formative years about the role and importance environment,” said Dr Maithili Tambe, CEO, TAS.

Along with students, teachers and school staff also followed suit and paraded the school campus chanting ‘Save Power, Save Nation’. “It was heartwarming to see the young TASians engage passionately in the initiative as they sang about the initiative theme — Go Green — in their assembly, engaged in essay recitation on the environment, as well as presented a thoughtful skit before senior children of the school,” said Saroj Raman, Principal, TAS.
