TVS Motor Company partners with the popular food delivery platform, Swiggy to use electric scooters for the deliveries.

The Indian-based, TVS Motors is one of the leading multinational automotive companies and the third-largest motorcycle company in India.

They announced the partnership to strengthen electrification across various mobility segments, which is in line with Swiggy’s use of electric vehicles (EVs) in its delivery fleet.

As part of the agreement, TVS Motor and Swiggy will evaluate the use of TVS Motor’s EVs for food delivery and other Swiggy on-demand services.

The two companies are collaborating to develop long-term, comprehensive solutions for Swiggy’s delivery partners.

They will be also working on personalized packages, such as a need-specific product, flexible financing options, and connected services will be included in this.

“TVS Motor Company has been at the forefront of delivering green and connected vehicles to our customers,” says Senior Vice president – Future Mobility of TVS Motor Company, Manu Saxena.

Their collaboration with Swiggy is a significant step forward in the electrification of mobility in food delivery and last-mile delivery services, facilitating customer adoption of EVs.

This is their first effort towards demonstrating their commitment to electrified commercial mobility.

He also expressed his excitement about the partnership with Swiggy, who are the market leaders in Indian food and on-demand delivery.

Saxena concluded by saying that Swiggy is also leading the creation of a broad and sustainable e-mobility ecosystem in the nation.

Vice President Operations of Swiggy, Mihir Rajesh Shah stated, “Swiggy has been pioneering the need for greater EV adoption, with a commitment to make deliveries spanning 8,000 kilometres per day through EVs by 2025”.

They think that the EVs provide a sustainable green mobility solution while also allowing their delivery partners to earn more.

This pilot with TVS will help them understand better the delivery fleet’s needs and the actions they can take to make their operations more eco-friendly and sustainable.

The MoU with Swiggy is in keeping with the company’s intention to expand TVS iQube Electric’s footprint across all major cities by the end of the financial year.

Delhi, Bangalore, Chennai, Pune, Kochi, and Coimbatore are among the 33 cities where the electric scooter is now accessible.
