Taapsee Pannu featuring ZEE5 Original ‘Rashmi Rocket’ has already flared a lot of enthusiasm among the public after its trailer launch.
Not just the buffs but even the Bollywood industry is in amazement of the trailer which shows Taapsee as a sprinter who comes from a small town and makes her way to represent India as a runner.
Nonetheless, her life takes a twist when she’s called in for a gender confirmation test, leaving her devastated. Blamed of being a fraud and prohibited from the national team, she files a human rights breach case and hence starts her battle to retrieve her honor and a personal fight to strengthen her individuality and get back to the competition of life.
The trailer, which is clasping, blowing, and encouraging, has the fandom and Bollywood clapping and praising. From Vicky Kaushal, Bhumi Pednekar, and Anubhav Sinha to Anurag Kashyap, Milap Zaveri, and Prajakta Koli, everyone has appeared in support of ‘Rashmi Rocket’ and the problem it undertakes. This is the first time that a feature movie is made on gender assessing and Taapsee in her part as ‘Rashmi Rocket’ is all guns flashing as she protests traditional femininity and gender testing in athletics.
On the other hand, Vicky Kaushal took to his social media to share the motivational trailer and applaud the whole team by quoting, “Rocket hai yeh ladki. Looks damn breathtaking. All the best team! @taapsee @nowitsabhi @priyanshupainyuli @akvarious @rsvpmovies”, Bhumi mentioned, “wah wah wah! Well done @taapsee”.
Directors Anubhav Sinha and Anurag Kashyap who have worked with Taapsee on Thappad and Manmarziyaan, took to social media to compliment Taapsee on the ravishing trailer. Even director Milap Zaveri remarked, “Once again Taapsee runs long with #RashmiRocket. The trailer has soul and devotion! Congrats to her and the team!”.
Also, Taapsee posted a tweet and quoted how athletes give their everything to the nation and still get to listen to a lot of stuff about their physiques. The actor said that a heartfelt thank you From yours Truly. But there are many women heavily for no mistake of theirs. The movie is produced by Ronnie Screwvala, Neha Anand, and Pranjal Khandhdiya and is written by Nanda Periyasamy, Aniruddha Guha, and Kanika Dhillon.
The movie will stream on ZEE5 on 15th October.
