TAS Brings in the Annual Day concert with Life and Music

The Academy School (TAS), Pune, organised and hosted a day full of vibrant activities to celebrate the phenomenon called life and the importance of music in it. The day-long event was attended by esteemed guests from the education as well as media fraternity.

The campus hosted shows under two themes: ‘Gift of Life’ and ‘Walk Down Melody Lane’. The students of TAS performed for the esteemed panel for both shows. The ‘Gift of Life’ theme was addressed to students in Grades between Nursery and Grade 3. The chief guests for the occasion included Mukund Dendge and Gorakshnath Hingane, Extension Officers of Education, Pune; Dr. Maithili Tambe, CEO of TAS; and Indira Ramachandran, Principal at TAS. The speakers discussed how each one is different and unique in their way, how each perceives things differently, and how we can make a difference and create something important together. The theme primarily dealt with discussions on the interconnectedness of life.

The second theme, ‘Walk Down Melody Lane’ was attended by distinguished speakers such as popular writer Rajiv Tambe, Film actor and writer Ashok Samarth, Management Trustees of TAS Sudhir Tambe and Anjali Tambe, Dr. Maithili Tambe, Indira Ramachandran, and Shital Pawar, Executive Editor at Sakal Media, Pune. The show was also attended by students from Grade 4 to Grade 10. The show was a trip down memory lane and celebrated the classic evergreen melodies from the 1960s era of the Hindi film industry, patriotic songs, and nature-related songs. The speakers discussed how music is an integral part of one’s life, how it is a universal language that binds people, how it has no boundaries, and how one’s life is incomplete without music.

Dr. Maithili Tambe, CEO of The Academy School (TAS), Pune, said the day-long event was just the start people needed in the new year. “The shows conducted during the event sum up our entire lives. It is important to be grateful and humble about life and what makes us happy, such as music. I am deeply thankful to all the speakers and guests who attended the event and graced the occasion,” she added.
