The prestigious Platinum Award was given to Tata Power Delhi Distribution (Tata Power-DDL), a well-known provider of utility services, as recognition for the company’s commitment to implementing the industry’s best practices in the areas of occupational health and safety as well as security. Because of their achievement, they received a prize.The Sustainable Development Foundation played host to the thirteenth annual EXCEED Occupational Health, Safety, and Security Awards, which was also the occasion on which the award in question was bestowed. This event was also the location where the prize was awarded. This event brought together professionals from a diverse array of professions for a roundtable discussion on major topics relating to safety, security, risk management, and cyber safety The promotion of the growth of a culture of safety within the sector was the objective of the effort that was being undertaken.
The objective of the utility company is to protect the safety of all of its constituents, including its workers, members of the general public, members of society, and members of the community where it is headquartered. This includes the residents of the community where the utility business is located. In addition to Housing and Education, it has been very effective in developing comprehensive systems for Safety, Occupational Health, Environment, and Disaster Management (SHE & DM). These many systems are all intertwined with one another and rely on one another in various ways.
The Tata Power – DDL practises were successful in the screening procedure and were able to show that they fulfilled all of the requirements, thus they were granted the certification when the process was completed. At the event when the award was presented, the honorable Minister of Social Welfare, River Navigation, Archives, and Archaeology for the State of Goa, Sh. Subhash Desai was the one who presented the award to the representatives of Tata Power Delhi Distribution Limited.
Tata Power-DDL has been very diligent in its efforts to strengthen its Environmental, Occupational Health, and Safety Management Systems in order to enable the preservation of natural resources, eliminate or lessen the risks that are posed to occupational health, and lower the probability that an accident will take place. This is all in an effort to reduce the likelihood of an accident taking place.
