Elon Musk, founder and CEO of Tesla had announced introducing their product in India by June of next year. Bookings for the Tesla car will be starting from next month.

Tesla motors have invented in the year 2003, and the name Tesla has given as tribute to the inventor and electrical engineer Nikolas Tesla. Tesla has recently added to the S&P 500, which made the company to boost its market value.
Tesla is planning to enter the Indian market through Model 3 of Tesla. Tesla Model 3 is the all-time worlds-best-selling plug-in electric car, with more than 500000 delivered. Tesla is the worlds best selling electric and plug-in car manufacturer.
The electric car manufacturing giant Tesla will be starting their booking for the car by next month and will be introducing Model 3 of Tesla in the Indian market early. The report claims that the company is planning to make their delivery of their first model by end of the first quarter of 2021-22.
Elon Musk has early mentioned that they will be soon entering the Indian market. Tesla has to face competition from Tata motors, Hyundai who are already playing a key role in the Indian market. Elon Musk becomes the world’s second wealthiest person with a net worth of $153.5 billion.
Tesla has been planning to introduce its brand in India since 2016, it got delayed due to lack of infrastructure such as the installation of a charging facility. At present Tesla will be importing the cars as Complete Built Units (CBU) as the company didn’t start a manufacturing plant in India. Tesla won’t be selling its product through the dealership. For the sale of the product, the company will be focusing on online sales.
Tesla has introduced the Model 3 in 2017, and according to the reports, Tesla Model 3 will be available with a starting price of Rs. 55 lakhs. Tesla has also announced that its product will debut in India with its most affordable offering. The Tesla Model 3 comes with a range of 500 km with a top speed of 250 km/h. The car can accelerate from 0-100 in just 3.1 seconds.
