Thanks to MLC Satyajeet Tambe, Now Teachers Don't Need to Run Around Government Offices for their Work

April 27, 2023

Nashik MLC Satyajeet Tambe has urged the Maharashtra education commissioner to find a way and helping teachers avoid running pillar to post for their educational or personal work. Tambe requested the Commissioner to find a solution in the next six months in a way that there is no need for the teachers to come to the office every time to follow up on such work and save up on their valuable time.

Responding positively to the demand, Commissioner Suraj Mandhare assured Tambe that a software will be created with the help of technology.

In the meeting, Tambe also raised various questions of teachers and non-teaching staff to which the Commissioner assured that those will be resolved soon.

During the election campaign for graduate constituencies, Satyajeet Tambe learned about various issues of teachers and non-teaching staff. It was brought to Tambe’s notice that teachers often have to travel to various government offices for their personal work related to the education department and also for organization work, which takes up their time and ultimately the students also have to suffer.

Satyajeet Tambe held a meeting with State Education Commissioner Suraj Mandhare to discuss various issues pertaining to the education space. He did a follow-up on issues including basic problems such as recognition of schools in the state, the condition of Aadhaar updation for giving grants to unaided schools, and outstanding difference bills of teachers and non-teaching staff.

Also present for the meeting was the Education Director of Secondary Department K. K. Patil, Deputy Director of Education of Primary Department Take, Joint Director of Education Panzade, and Deputy Director of Education Vandana Raool.

During the meeting, Tambe raised the issue of suspending the decision regarding converting unaided schools to aided ones. Mandhare informed that the government is following up on the matter.

Tambe also drew attention to the Sanch Manyata problems in the state. Mandhare said that 60 percent of the Sanch Manyata work has been completed across the state but the work is still less in both Ahmednagar and Nashik districts. The education commissioner assured that the time slab would be cancelled soon after getting information about it.

Moreover, as soon as Tambe raised the issue of Aadhaar updation, Mandhare said that schools having 85 percent or more Aadhaar updation would be given an extension. As a result, he also indicated that schools should focus on 85 percent Aadhaar updation. Follow-up is in progress with the state government regarding the outstanding difference bills of teachers and non-teaching staff as well. Mandhare assured Tambe that the bills will be settled soon.

Mandhare also reiterated that teachers would no longer need to visit any government office for follow-up for individual or organization work related to the education department and also said that there is a plan to take measures through an alternative system or a computerized system.

“Although not all issues were resolved in the meeting, the meeting was positive. The Education Commissioner took note of many questions of teachers and non-teaching staff. Concrete assurances have also been given on many issues,” Tambe said, adding that constant follow-ups will be taken until all the issues are not resolved.
