Kalli PurieVice-Chairperson of India Today Group, has launched the Group’s special digital venture ‘India Today North-East’ on Tuesday at the ongoing fifth edition of the India Today foregathering in East.
Speaking at the gathering, Kalli Purie says, “This is our India Today conclave fifth edition and it has been a fantastic orientation to the region.” She thanked them and adds to it that “I mean, it is basically because of the audience and the people that we have here.”
She adds to her speech, “And it made us realize that this area is just so rich and so diverse, and it is almost impossible for us to display all its talents and its issues in just a couple of days. These eight states that are going to be focused on are known as the North East, and if I may, I borrow it from our prime minister’s Ashta Lakshmi project and it deserves more of a spotlight. So, with that in my mind, today I am immensely proud to launch our latest venture that focuses on the North-East, called India Today North-East.”
After Kalli Purie, Conrad Kongkal Sangma, chief minister of Meghalaya, and Rana Pratap Kalita, Lieutenant General, were involved in the launch of this digital venture.
The fifth edition of the India Today Conclave at East started on July 4, Monday, and saw many renowned leaders and personalities from across the fields of politics, and businesses, among other areas, honoring the platform and exchanging ideas on building a better world.
Kalli Purie has also said that the new venture will be based out of the North-East and with its launch, India Today Group hopes that it will be better equipped to display the area and its USPs.
She says, “We will be looking at these regions with this new venture, and it will be based out of the North-East. So, I hope it will be able to display the area better, as well as, I think to a certain extent that some of the misnomers that exist out of the region and its incredibly beautiful people.”
