OTT platforms have made cinema and other forms of entertainment borderless and vast. Many young filmmakers are emerging with great quality work and they are bringing about a fresh change in the field of monotonous cinema.
Some of the lesser-known yet flourishing names are as follows-
Siddharth Singh and Garima Wahal together have earned considerable recognition with their remarkable contributions in Bollywood blockbusters like ‘Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela’; ‘Kabir Singh’; ‘Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’, etc. Their exceptionally fresh ideas were reflected in the edgy lyrics, screenwriting, and other aspects of these movies.
Balwinder Singh Janjua is involved in the screenplay of films like ‘Saand Ki Aankh’ and ‘Mubarakan’. His upcoming projects include ‘Tera Kya Hoga Lovely’ casting Ileana D’Cruz and Randeep Hooda. He has worked alongside famous names like Rupinder Chahal.
Jasmeet K Reen is another emerging name in the field of screenwriting. She is associated with movies like ‘Pati Patni Aur Woh’ and ‘Force 2’. She is supposed to make her debut in direction with the movie ‘Darlings’ being produced by Red Chilies Entertainment. This movie is supposed to star Alia Bhatt, Vijay Verma, and Shefali Shah. The audience has high expectations from her considering her brilliant contributions in the field of screenwriting.
Anubhuti Kashyap is the assistant director of the Bollywood megahit ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’ Her upcoming project is ‘Doctor G’ starring famous stars like Ayushmann Khurrana, Shefali Shah, etc. Anubhuti is also the co-scriptwriter along with Sumit Saxena, Vishal Wagh, and others. This movie is going to be a comedy-drama where the actors are supposed to play doctors. People have high hopes for this project.
