Mahindra, although a company based in India, have a racing team known as Mahindra Racing that is based in Banbury, UK. It has recently launched a campaign that shows how the country loves racing and make a mark on it.

The ad shows how the country used to race not just in super-fast cars with a lot of horsepower but racing in all forms and all categories. In the typical Indian tradition, racing goes all the way to our childhood days like toy car racing, rolling a lone tyre with a stick and racing with paper boats in the streams of Kerala.

The chairman of the Mahindra group shared a video to the public in the form of an ad to reminisce people about racing and how it is in one’s blood no matter how much they deviate from it.

He also publishes the video with a tweet #Indialovesagoodrace. The tweet could mean him hinting more than just a race but the way of life as life changes quickly and one has to be fast enough to get to the chequered flag.

The ad was conceptualized by BBH India and was directed by the well-known director, Ashish Bhatia. The main objective of the film is to get Indians to be more enthusiastic and develop a drive towards racing. It is a spirit that is present in all Indians and it is the duty of the ad to re-spark that love for racing.

It is also important to remember that India does not and has not disregarded racing in any way. Back in 2013 when India hosted an F1 race in the International Buddh Circuit, there was a massive audience who loved and cheered for the drivers. They all had a special affinity toward Sebastian Vettel who is the only driver to win in India.

Unfortunately, the circuit had to close down and does not host any F1 race in Buddh due to financial difficulties.

Mahindra is the only Indian motor racing company to take part and compete in formula racing over the world. It is set to race in Saudi on 28th January 2022 for the Formula E championship.
