ZEE5 has announced the third season of its flagship gangster drama ‘Rangbaaz,’ following the phenomenal success of the first two seasons. ‘Rangbaaz – Darr Ki Rajneeti,’ written by Siddharth Mishra, directed by Sachin Pathak, and produced by JAR Pictures, will star Vineet Kumar Singh and Aakanksha Singh in lead roles. The show is directed by Navdeep Singh, who has previously directed NH10 and Manorama Six Feet Under.
This season follows Vineet’s character, Haroon Shah Ali Baig (also known as Saheb), as he rises from a small city in Bihar to come one of the state’s most important dictators. He uses his power and wealth to help the people as he gains power and wealth through his exploits. He starts to feel welcomed and validated as he confirms his perception of himself as a Robin Hood-like figure. Is he, still, confusing fear with respect? Saheb’s rice and posterior fall reflect his transition from unformed idealism to manipulative cynicism.
