A significant portion of Thomas Cook’s foreign exchange business is focused on education forex. Pre-COVID, the segment had a strong 20 percent YoY gain; nevertheless, over the past six months, it has recovered quickly and surpassed pre-pandemic levels.

Thomas Cook (India) Limited, India’s top omnichannel firm, has created #AllAboutStudyingAbroad, a series of educational videos to help students who want to study abroad, to serve the country’s expanding international education market. Over the coming months, the company plans to create the most extensive collection of videos and blogs to promote its outbound student sector.

Parents and students may experience uncertainties and worries throughout the process of planning to study abroad, making it a difficult and stressful process. Thomas Cook India has therefore teamed up with experts from the industry to address frequently asked questions/challenges that students experience through informative yet entertaining videos and blogs. Based on continuing conversations and comments from the student and parent community, the #AllAboutStudyingAbroad video and blog content has been developed.

The goal of Thomas Cook is to create an active community of students and their parents and to offer crucial information and support throughout their journey—from planning and applying to traveling and finding foreign exchange solutions for studying abroad.

To fill the knowledge gap for students planning to study abroad, #AllAboutStudyingAbroad covers pertinent subjects, such as advantages of international education, best countries for international study, fee structures, financial considerations, scholarships, loans, forex, travel and visa, country-specific housing options, accessibility of part-time jobs for students, etc. The forms chosen are based on student preference and can include anything from videos, blogs, news articles, and interactions with subject-matter experts.

The films will be accessible on several social media sites, such as Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube, and a channel for direct dialogue will be set up in the comment section. Every two weeks, there will also be updates on current changes in the field of international education, and after each month, a subject-matter expert will answer questions.

According to Deepesh Varma, Senior Vice-President of Foreign Exchange at Thomas Cook (India) Limited, Indian students experience excessive stress and uncertainty as a result of the numerous questions and worries they have when making plans for their studies abroad.

Thomas Cook India has introduced #AllAboutStudyingAbroad, a series of educational videos and blogs, to offer the student community the much-needed direction. This initiative aims to address these difficulties and support our students and their parents. With the content easily accessible on YouTube and major social media platforms, we have chosen compelling formats for our films, blogs, and interactive sessions with topic experts.
